One Giant Leap in Learning: Space Week for Babies and Tweenies at Our Cambridge Nursery

One small step for little feet, one giant leap in learning! At Monkey Puzzle Regent Terrace, our Cambridge day nursery, our youngest explorers have been on an out-of-this-world adventure as we celebrated Space Week.

A Galaxy of Hands-On Fun

From twinkling stars and shining moons to rockets and exciting sensory experiences, our babies and Tweenies enjoyed a whole galaxy of activities. They got stuck in, discovering different textures, reaching out to explore and using their natural curiosity to investigate the world around them. There were plenty of smiles, giggles and little discoveries along the way, and our rooms were filled with wonder as our little astronauts explored the wonders of space.

Why Sensory Discovery Matters for Your Little One

For babies and young toddlers, every new texture and every reach towards something interesting is a real step forward. Hands-on sensory play builds coordination, strengthens their understanding of the world through touch and sight, and nurtures the curiosity that drives all future learning. For your child, that means a nursery day full of wonder, discovery and gentle encouragement from a team who celebrate every small achievement. Who knows what these little explorers will discover next? For now, they’re certainly reaching for the stars.
