Welcome to Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Cambridge – Regent Terrace, conveniently located at 12-13 Regent Terrace, Cambridge, CB2 1AA, overlooking the beautiful and spacious Parker’s Piece. We are within a short drive of both the M11 and A14, making us perfect for families commuting in and out of Cambridge, as well as families located near the city centre. We offer childcare of the highest quality and choosing the right people to work for us at Monkey Puzzle Cambridge is crucial to what we to do. Children aged between 3 months and 5 years will be cared for by a wonderful team of qualified nursery nurses and early years practitioners.
Monkey Puzzle Cambridge Regent Terrace is part of an award-winning nursery group and also has two sister nurseries nearby, Monkey Puzzle Grange Road and Monkey Puzzle Marleigh.

We have dedicated rooms for our various age ranges and each room reflects the seven areas of learning, as prescribed in the Early Years Foundation Stage. All of our facilities are designed to be accessible to every child.

🌍Happy Earth Day!🌎
This week the children took part in "Earth day", The children created some beautiful pictures of our planet Earth and we had a discussion about how the planets are all different sizes.
The children also explored a recycling tray where they looked at different materials and had discussions on what goes into the bin and what we recycle and the importance of why we recycle.
This has been a great opportunity for the children to learn about the environment and how we can all play a part in taking care of it.

Bugs! 🐞
This week, with the sun shining bright, our little ones have been enjoying their outdoor playtime exploring the garden. They've been super excited discovering all the bugs and critters around us.
We've been on bug hunts, lifting logs and digging away to find as many as possible! 🪲 The children even created a wormery for our new bug friends to observe them up close to see how they wriggle and move. 🪱
To add to the fun, the children got creative and drew their own bug masterpieces, discussing how each bug looks and what body parts they have. 🎨🦋

This week at Regent Terrace, we've been diving into the tale of "Little Red Riding Hood".
The little ones have been delving into various vegetable tuff trays to explore how vegetables grow. They've also been using veggies in their pretend play, going shopping for lots of goodies for their grandmas.
Over in the construction area, the children have been super creative, constructing various homes and structures using a mix of tools and resources. There have been plenty of conversations on what makes houses strong and sturdy.
It's been a fun and educational week full of exciting discoveries and imaginative play!

Happy Easter Everyone!! 🐣
This week, the little ones have been immersed in the exciting world of the "enormous turnip" tale. They've been getting their hands dirty exploring various vegetables and planting their own veg patch in the garden.
Our farm yard tuff trays have been a hit, inspiring the children to create their own mini farmyards and dive into stories about vegetables and farms.
In the spirit of Easter, the children have been busy with fun Easter crafts, going on egg hunts in the garden, and even rolling eggs down hills to find the fastest one. It's been an egg-citing week as we get ready for the Easter bank holiday break! 🌟

🐛The Very Hungry Caterpillar 🐛
This week at Regent Terrace, the little ones have been absolutely enchanted by "The Very Hungry Caterpillar".
They've dived into the story, bringing it to life through imaginative play in our role play kitchen, pretending to munch through all the yummy treats. The children have also been making their own colourful caterpillars using playdough. 🐛
It's been amazing to witness their blossoming creativity and teamwork as they delve deeper into the world of the books. 📚 Not to mention, they've been super busy sharpening their mathematics skills through counting, exploring shapes, and comparing sizes while sorting their food from small to big! 🍎🍊🍉

🌷 FLOWER SHOP! 🌹
This week, the little ones have been loving the sunny weather outdoors. The had a wonderful time setting up a lovely flower shop and diving into imaginative play scenarios.
The children have been busy making marks by listing the flowers in their shop, playing with numbers while making price lists, and crafting some gorgeous flower art. It's been a creative and fun-filled week for the children!
